Wayne Rowand to perform at Brown Bag Concert

Wednesday, August 21, 2013 • Noon

Wayne Rowand will perform at the Randolph County Community Arts Center's Brown Bag Concert. This free monthly concert is sponsored by the Davis Trust Company.

With almost thirty years of experience, Morgantown WV native Wayne Rowand has spent the greater part of his life in the pursuit of music.

Known primarily as a classical guitarist, Wayne has also received training in jazz and improvised music. Wayne’s principal teachers include eight-string guitar pioneer David Harris and Scott Elliott. He has also attended classes and master classes with notable guitarists Thomas Kitka, Ken Karsh, Manuel Cuen, David Burgess, Peter Fletcher, Dr Patrick Joyce and Stephen Aron. Wayne has extensive performing credits on a regional and national level, both as a soloist and an ensemble player.

Currently Wayne spends his time teaching both private lessons and classes at the Arts Center, performing, and spoiling his two young children, Chloe and Finn.
