Kit’s Interactive Theatre to present ‘Sleepy Hollow!”

Kit's Interactive Theatre will perform "The Sleepy Hollow Halloween Show” on  Saturday, October 22 at 7:00 p.m. at the Randolph County Community Arts Center. This is the first event in the RCCAC 2011-12 Family Concert Series.

This interactive  program combines history, music, dance, and improvisation, and casts audience members right into the show!  Set in 1799, Katrina Van Tassle discloses the secret adventure of Ichabod Crane. Hobgoblins abound, skeletons high-step in a graveyard dance and even Rip Van Winkle enters this spooky—but not scary—Halloween tale designed for ages 5 years old and up.

Developing her unique style of interactive theatre since 1987, Kitty Jones combines her passion for history and love of theatre to create high-energy interactive shows.  Through continual audience participation in the history, improvisation, dance, and music, Jones brings 4000 years of history to life.

Jones has appeared in films, on TV and in New York.  She performs over 375 one-woman shows each year throughout the northeast to rave reviews. Jones won "Best Supporting Actress" for her roles in regional theatre and was seen on Lehigh Valley PBS on "Tempo!"  She has also appeared at The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, Philadelphia, PA; Winterthur Museum, DE; and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.   Since 1996, Kitty has written, choreographed, produced, and performed her own original material for Kit's Interactive Theatre, Inc.

"Kit's Interactive Theatre is one of the best interactive productions I've ever seen..." raves Heidi Klinowski of the Science and Technology Museum in Troy, NY.

As part of the Randolph County Community Arts Center’s Outreach Program, Jones will present “Colonial Life” at Homestead Elementary School on Friday.

Sponsors for Kit's Interactive Theatre "The Sleepy Hollow Halloween Show” include The Inter-Mountain, WDNE Radio, FirstEnergy Foundation, Family Dental Practice, Allegheny Insurance, Davis Health Systems, Parrack Insurance, the West Virginia Division of Culture and History, and the National Endowment for the Arts, with approval from the West Virginia Commission on the Arts, and several anonymous donors.

All tickets are $5. Season tickets are available for the 2011–2012 Family Concert Series  and Evening Concert Series and provide subscribers with a 20% season discount.
