Reception on Friday, June 17, from 5 to 7 pm
I’ve always loved to draw since I was little and fondly remember the times when my father and I would draw together, making up stories as we drew. There were no art classes during my school years, but I was persistent and taught myself, and I drew on everything! After high school, I went to art school and became what I always wanted to be, an artist. I became a fashion illustrator and drew everyday during my career. How truly lucky I am.
Today, I’m still excited about learning more, sharing ideas with other artists, and experimenting with new techniques. I love the feeling of creating something on a blank piece of paper. The process takes me away.
Art is my love and has been a constant in my life. It lifts me up when I’m down and lets me really see the world around me. It makes me feel special. It’s what I do. It’s a gift to me. And when one of my paintings connects with someone out there that’s the icing on the cake!
