Alain Kieny

A resident of Tucker county for over 30 years, and originally from France where I worked as a mechanical engineering draftsman in the pre-computer era of the early 1970's. Hand-drawn industrial drafting's demise offered me the chance to break free from the straight and perpendicular lines. I traded my technical pens for pastels to render the beauty of ordinary things. As a self-taught artist, I have an enduring admiration for many, mainly the impressionists of the late 19th. century.
