Chet Lowther

Chet Lowther is a visual artist and musician based in Charleston, WV. Originally born in Ireland, WV, he moved to Charleston in 2001 and has lived here ever since. After receiving his degree in Art Education from Fairmont University, he taught (and continues to teach) art lessons. About ten years ago, he began to focus on creating his own pieces and opened his studio and gallery on Hale Street in downtown Charleston. Working with acrylic, oils, and encaustic mediums (painting using melted beeswax), Chet has created a gorgeous collection of colorful landscapes and other works, showing West Virginia in full, vibrant color.
