Dani Cade
Dani is a Texas native and holds a BFA degree in Visual Arts from Marshall University. Her journey began with The Arts Center in 2014, as the Arts Coordinator and took on the role of Executive Director in 2022. Her primary goal is to adhere to the mission and values of the organization. She has over a decade of non-profit experience and understands the deep challenges they face.
After college she took a lead role as Art Director for Camp Hidden Meadows, where she successfully implemented and ran their art program for two years. After a personal travel adventure, she moved to Elkins in 2006. She continued her journey in the arts as an art instructor with Arts Bank, and with The Arts Center. While instructing art, it became a personal goal to educate the community with art. She actively volunteers in the community and serves various committees and is a board member with Kiwanis Club of Elkins. Her passion for instructing was found immediately after college. She cultivates a positive, fun and relaxed atmosphere in the classroom. The creative adventure is a highlight of every art class. She has been instructing art for almost 20 years to all age levels in various mediums.
Her own art ranges in subject and mediums. Every art piece is a challenge and getting lost in creative process results in beautiful art. Focus on color and expression, her work is often described as organic. She is active in supporting the arts and exhibits in and out of state.
