Solo Exhibit, David Proudfoot has been working with native hardwoods for the last 12 years since moving to Elkins.  He has visited local sawmills and purchased cherry, walnut, maple and poplar right out of the saw. He dries the wood over several years before it is suitable for furniture. David joined the Woodtech, a woodworkers cooperative, in Elkins and has learned a lot by practice and with the help of other local experts.  He will be showing a variety of tables and cabinets in walnut, maple and cherry. There will be wide range of smaller items made from local materials.
