We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic artist, to join our team this upcoming school year and direct our After School Art Program. Responsibilities:

  • Engage with students to provide assistance and guidance with their art projects.

  • Classroom encouragement with students, from set up, and cleanup.

  • organization and structure with art projects

  • Classroom management with positive reinforcement.

  • Collaborate with the Arts Center to ensure a safe, positive, and enriching experience for all students.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for the arts and working with children.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents and fellow staff members.

  • Reliability, consistency and punctuality is a must

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing needs.

  • Prior experience working with children or in a classroom setting is preferred.

  • Art degree is a bonus! Art knowledge and experience in your field is a requirement.

Requirements:

  • Adhere to the Arts Centers Child Protection Policy

  • Obtain clearances: Criminal Record Background Check that adheres too and supports our Child Protection Policy. The Arts Center will assist you in obtaining these clearances if needed.

Schedule:

This is a part-time position for the 2024 - 2025 school year. The ASA program runs from September through May, and meets1 day a week for a set amount of time.

Pay: $30-50 per classroom hour, based on qualifications, talent and skill level. Paid monthly, or as agreed upon in advance.
