Robert Rose melds the dexterity of his former surgical career with artistic vision to make hand-crafted acoustic guitars, mandolins, and ukuleles of native and exotic hardwoods embellished with custom pearl inlay.
He specializes in building dreadnought and parlor size guitars in the Martin style, from beginning to end, in his Randolph County workshop, and his goal is to make an instrument that sounds as beautiful as it looks.
Bob also hand-crafts furniture-grade cherry instrument stands in two sizes from his own original design.
Bob recycles remnants of the instrument wood and pearl by crafting jewelry and functional chopsticks. A juried member of Tamarack: the Best of West Virginia, he accepts custom orders.
